Andrea Cervellin 13th overall in Italian Championship Race in Montevarchi
Andrea Cervellin of the SKS Polned TM Factory Racing Team finished thirteenth overall in the first round of the Italian Championship Series in Montevarchi. Andrea was fit again after an illness which kept him of the bike at the Starcross in Mantova on Sunday.Andrea started the day with the sixteenth fastest time in time practice. The differences between the riders were really small because Andrea was only a half of a second slower than the twelfth fastest rider.

He was motivated to do well in the first moto. A strong field of riders were behind the starting gate for moto one. Andrea rode a consistent race and crossed the finish line in thirteenth position.

In the second moto the MX2 riders had to ride against the MX1 riders. Unfortunately Andrea was forced to retire from the race after eleven laps.

Next weekend round two of the Italian Championship Series will be held in Pietramurata. Dutchman Nick Kouwenberg wasn't able to race in Montevarchi. He dislocated his shoulder at the Starcross in Mantova and needs to rest with his shoulder.
