Succesfull weekend for Kemea Reytec
This weekend the 7th gp of the season took place in Agueda, Portugal. On the magnificent track, known for it's red dirt, the riders got all possible weather conditions served during the weekend. A bright sunshine on saturday morning turned into rain in the afternoon. It rained all night long and the first races were ridden in muddy conditions. Finally the sun came back out and dried out the track for the second heats.

Before this GP the Kemea Reytec Yamaha riders told they liked this track and this showed in the results. In the EMX 125cc class Nathan Renkens rode two solid heats. In the first race on saturday Nathan conquered the mud and the 14 year old walloon finished 10th after a solid race.

In the second race his start wasn't that good and Nathan lost his goggles after only a couple of laps. He put his head down and charged hard. Finally he came back from 18th to the 14th place, which put him in 12th position overall. Renkens is 19th now in the 125cc standings.

In the MX2 class the qualification race didn't go too well for Fors and Vandueren. Fors got a 25th gate pick as Vandueren had to line up next to him in 2th. Both were not satisfied but this gave them extra motivation to do well on sunday.

In the first race the Kemea Reytec riders came through in 19th and 20th position. They both started charging towards the top 15 but in the 5th lap Fors crashed and left the race. Kenny rode his own pace and finished in 18th, bringing in his first points of the season.

In the second race Vandueren started wel and was riding in 12th position. He decided not to push and ride his own race. Kevin came through in 17th and charged to 15th in a couple of laps. Both riders rode solid laptimes and only had to let by some faster riders who crashed in the first corner. In the end Kenny finished 19th and Kevin crosed the finish in 20th.

In the final standings Vandueren was 20th and Fors 22nd.

Marnicq Bervoets : I think we can be satisfied after this weekend. As a team we scored points in 5 out of 6 races, and taking points was our main goal. Conditions were very hard this weekend and apart from Fors crashing in race 1 nobody made a big mistake. Nathan rode a very good first race, and with some extra fighting spirit I believe he can end up in the top 10. We're working in the good direction and I hope we can continue this into the next races. Next week we have a home GP and everybody is motivated to do well again. Ludovic Brevers will start with a wildcard in the 125cc class. I saw him on training last week and I'm really looking forward to see him in the race !

Kenny Vandueren : I'm happy I got my first points in the bag. I didn't want to crash and wanted to finish the races. Speedwise everything was ok, but towards the end of the second moto I had to slow down. Anyway, I'm happy with the points, I know I can finish there and hopefully I can continue like this.

Kevin Fors : Riding went really well this weekend. I'm dissapointed with the crash in the first race because I felt really good. In the second heat me and Kenny were on our way to grab a handfull of points, but in the end there were some good riders coming through. I'm happy to still take a point and I'm looking forward now to my homerace in Bastogne.

Nathan Renkens : I'm very happy with the result. I like these conditions and felt really comfortable. My first race was great and managed to finish in 10th. Second race was not as good but still I got 14th. After saturday I hoped for a top 10 but 12th is already a big step forward. Doing the same in Bastogne next weekend would be great, so I will give m best !
